The article complements the research on digital building management by addressing the acquisition of accurate spatial data for existing buildings. It evaluates selected 3D scanning systems, including Matterport-based solutions and SLAM technology, in comparison with reference terrestrial laser scanning data.
For the InnovAIte project, the results are relevant as a basis for selecting suitable technologies for digital building documentation, creation of spatial data layers and integration of geometric information into advanced data-driven building management and modernization processes.
