InnovAIte Slovakia is a Transformation-Innovation Consortium that accelerates trustworthy artificial intelligence from concept to commercial solution.

Bringing together Slovak universities, research centres, technology companies and two world-class excellence partners, we foster ethical and sustainable AI that strengthens the economy and improves daily life.

Our 30-month roadmap is supported by the Recovery & Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic and aligned with the European AI and Data Acts. By pairing top-tier research with industry needs, we turn scientific insight into tangible benefits for business, society and the environment.

Bratislava, 13 June (OTS) — A consortium of leading technology companies, universities, and research institutions from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Germany is launching an international project called InnovAIte Slovakia: Illuminating Pathways for AI-Driven Breakthroughs. The aim of the project is to create a dynamic innovation ecosystem in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) that will markedly push the boundaries of its practical use. The project is being carried out under the “Transformational and Innovation Consortia” call, financed from the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic, and will run from April 2025 to September 2027.

The main implementer is Gratex International, which leads a consortium comprising leading Slovak, Czech and German universities, research institutes and technology companies, including Asseco Central Europe, CANEX, Optima Ideas, Vysoká škola báňská — Technical University of Ostrava, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (GmbH), the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Comenius University in Bratislava, Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín, the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information and the Trenčín Self-Governing Region.

InnovAIte Slovakia focuses on developing innovative AI solutions that will help increase the energy efficiency of buildings, improve transport safety through video analysis, automate software development and digitise processes in the insurance sector. An important part of the project is the creation of functional prototypes with high potential for real-world application. In addition to technological innovation, the consortium emphasises AI education, talent development, start-up incubation and the ethical, environmentally sustainable and socially beneficial use of artificial intelligence.

InnovAIte Slovakia has obtained €14.84 million from the Recovery Plan, while total expenditures will reach €17.86 million. In this way the consortium confirms its leading role in innovation and digital transformation, with a focus on international cooperation, sustainability, and social benefit. Financed by the EU’s NextGenerationEU through the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic under project No. 09I02-03-V01-00029. https://www.teraz.sk/ekonomika/slovensko-spusta-prelomovy-projekt-u/885649-clanok.html
