Kick-off Conference InnovAIte Slovakia: CVTI SR at the Inception of AI Innovations for Energy, Transport, and Insurance

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, a professional conference entitled From Research to Solutions – AI Changing Practice will be held in Trnava.
Its aim will be to present the international project InnovAIte Slovakia, hold an expert discussion, present research plans, and establish future
collaborations. The Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CVTI SR), as one of the members of the project consortium, will be present.

Key Introduction

The opening conference is organized as a professional forum that connects research with practice in the field of artificial intelligence. Its purpose is to present solutions with practical impact on key sectors. The event will take place in Trnava, at the Holiday Inn Hotel. The conference will provide up-to-date insights into the application of artificial intelligence in areas such as energy-efficient buildings, transport safety, digital innovations in insurance, and software engineering.

“Artificial intelligence is a phenomenon of our time, and we see the InnovAIte Slovakia project as a significant step toward bringing research results in the field of artificial intelligence into practice more swiftly. This initiative provides us with a unique opportunity to support innovations with real-world impact,” said Róbert Gálik, Director General of CVTI SR. He also expressed his belief that cross-sector collaboration will lead to tangible solutions that will ultimately benefit society as a whole.

Sustainability and Ethics

InnovAIte Slovakia focuses on artificial intelligence solutions that are technologically advanced, ethical, environmentally sustainable, and socially beneficial. The initiative includes research aimed at ensuring responsibility, transparency, and fairness in artificial intelligence systems.

Members of the Consortium

The main implementer of the project, which also serves as the consortium leader, is Gratex International. The consortium brings together leading
Slovak, Czech, and German universities, research institutions, and technology companies, including Asseco Central Europe, CANEX, Optima Ideas, Vysoká škola báňská – Technical University of Ostrava, and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz). The Slovak higher education sector is represented by the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Comenius University in Bratislava, and Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín. Other consortium members include the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CVTI SR) and the Trenčín Self-Governing Region.

More about the Project

The project InnovAIte Slovakia: Illuminating Pathways for AI-Driven Breakthroughs is being implemented from April 1, 2025, to September 30, 2027, as part of the Transformational and Innovation Consortia call. It has received support from the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic in the amount of EUR 14.84 million. The total project expenditure will reach EUR 17.86 million. Its main activities include:
