InnovAIte Slovakia has officially launched its Ethics Advisory Board (EAB). The Board held its first kick-off meeting on 15 January 2026, marking the start of an independent advisory function focused on responsible, trustworthy and compliant delivery of the project’s activities and outputs.

What the Board will do

The Ethics Advisory Board will provide ongoing, independent guidance throughout the project, with a focus on:

  • Ethics, privacy and compliance oversight across relevant work packages and project activities.
  • Risk review and mitigation guidance, including data governance, cybersecurity, human oversight and transparency.
  • Recommendations for responsible AI practices, supporting fairness, accountability and safe deployment in real-world contexts.
  • Regular reviews and consultations with the project team, helping to strengthen decision-making and continuous improvement.

Kick-off meeting outcomes

During the kick-off meeting, the Board aligned on the scope of support, working modalities and review rhythm. The discussion also set initial priorities for identifying and managing ethical and legal risks, and for ensuring that project outputs remain aligned with applicable requirements and best practices.

With the Ethics Advisory Board now in place, InnovAIte Slovakia strengthens its commitment to developing AI-enabled public services in a way that is trustworthy, secure and responsible.
