As a Platinum Partner of the 12th annual National BIM Conference (October 15, 2026, Bratislava), the InnovAIte Slovakia project presented its latest advancements in AI-driven construction and facility management. A central theme of our dedicated conference block was the critical
importance of data quality, as structured and consistent BIM data serves as the foundation for modern AI applications.
Our consortium partners detailed two primary research areas:
- Construction Evaluation
Ivan Golian from Optima Ideas presented on the use of computer vision and multimodal approaches to detect discrepancies between digital BIM models and the actual state of construction.
- Energy Optimization (WP4)
Researchers Richard Varga (Faculty of Civil Engineering, STU) and Radek Fiala (VŠB Ostrava) presented AI models designed for the optimal control of HVAC systems. This initiative is driven by the InnovAIte WP4 work package, which focuses on developing digital twin architectures that unify BIM models, time-series sensor data, and AI algorithms to maximize building energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprints
